A note from Sarah …

I started participating in the Tri for a Cure the first year the event was held in 2008 to personally and physically challenge myself. I had so much fun that I kept doing it! And most importantly, it is for an incredible cause: every dollar raised is reinvested into Maine communities for cancer prevention, early detection, and access to care. The first few years, I competed in all legs of the event alongside friends and also my mom. But then in 2017, I lost my dear mother to cancer at age 63. As you can imagine, the weight and significance of the Tri for a Cure became infinitely more impactful. I am now the captain of a relay team named in honor of her (Beth’s Buddies) and last year we raised $9,330! Given this, we are making the push to hit the $10K threshold this year! I would be so grateful for any dollar you are able contribute in joining Beth’s Buddies in the fight against cancer. Click here to make a donation to Sarah’s team!
